My hubby & I recently dined at Joy Spot Hot Pot & Grill for the second time, and we can confidently say that our experience was exceptional once again! Right from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smile and the cozy ambiance made us feel right at home. The combination of delicious food and the unique experience creates the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the incredible service. Our server, Johnnie, was fantastic! She was attentive and sweet, ensuring that we were well taken care of at all times. Her thoughtful recommendations made our dining experience even better, adding that personal touch that can sometimes be missing in restaurants. I must also give a shout-out to Lee, Carol, and Ashley. Their friendliness and willingness to help made a significant impact on our meal. It's clear that the team here truly values customer service and works together to create a welcoming environment. The food at Joy Spot is always a treat, and we love the unique concept of hot pot and grill. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and I appreciated how easy it is to customize your meal. And let’s not forget about the music – they played some amazing throwback Pop and R&B hits that made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s the kind of vibe that keeps you in a great mood while tasting delicious dishes. Overall, Joy Spot Hot Pot & Grill is a must-visit! With phenomenal service, a cozy atmosphere, and delightful food, it's a place I will definitely be returning to. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic unique dining experience!

First time visiting yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I hope this business lasts a long time because I absolutely love Asian cuisine and we don't have enough of it around here! Their staff was very informative and helpful. They guided us through the options and were clear about how things work (it's a very unique dining experience if you aren't used to it). Their food was delicious and fresh. They had a wide variety of ingredients available to add to your hotpot or grill. You're able to pay for one or the other, or even both. They also offer soju and other drinks, which I was very happy about! There's a conveyer that carries extra ingredients around the restaurant, which you can grab right from your table. It's all-you-can-eat, so definitely worth the money imo. Will be coming back here frequently!

I was there for the soft opening & my experience was amazing. I’m a huge hot pot fan & I absolutely loved it. I’ve only had their hot pot so far, so I cannot speak to their KBBQ yet. It’s a much smaller menu than your typical hot pot spot, but it makes sense because they are just starting out. The food was incredible & the staff were so kind! For the hot pot, they have a selection of soup bases (e.g., miso, tonkotsu, mala, bone broth, tomato, & shiitake); conveyor-belt delivered vegetables (e.g., kale, zucchini, melon, napa cabbage, corn, mushrooms, kimchi, etc); meats (e.g., beef, lamb, pork, chicken, crab, shrimp, eggs, meatballs, sausage, crayfish, fish, etc); tofu (e.g., fried & plain); noddles & rice (e.g., white rice, ramen, & vermicelli), & sauces (e.g., bulgogi, gochujang, hoisin, garlic, hot chili oil, teriyaki, etc). They also had ice cream & a small drink menu. It’s all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes at typical hot pot prices (M-F Lunch: 19, M-S Dinner: 29). Please have patience & understand that this is a brand new type of restaurant for a city like Abilene. They are limited on what they provide at the moment. This isn’t Dallas. The space is also incredibly small (about 20-ish tables), so be prepared for a wait if you go during peak hours. I will be going here often & I can’t wait to see this place grow!

I really enjoyed this place. Plenty of basic add-in options and broth options. The family all found something they enjoyed and we were able to share food and make it our own way. Waitress was awesome and checked on us regularly and brought us drinks and extra plates. We brought a child and she seemed to love all the food options and staff was patient with her and chatted with her while we were there. Just can't seat children next to food belt or allow them to grab their own items, which was totally fine with us.

I took my mom for her bday lunch. To our surprise they now have the pho hot pot added to their menu. It was good and so refreshing to eat. I left satisfied and full. So worth the money spent. Plus our waiter was very sweet and informed us of the new addition and his excitement on it as well. Last time we had the new added drinks Thai Tea Boba is was good.

So much fun! We’ve been here twice. We got the hotpot (soup) both times, but you can also grill from a hot plate in the middle of your table. I’ve tried the miso broth and the shiitake mushroom broth. Both were delicious and comforting. The mushroom is more delicate; the miso is saltier. I love watching the conveyer belts curve throughout the space, with a varied selection of noodles and vegetables. Seafood and meat are at the back. Both times I made vegetarian soups, but there are SO many choices - both with vegetables and with fish and meat selections. My hubby enjoys the meat and seafood, and makes two trips. I like piling my hotpot high the first time and eating from that. Vegetables have seasonal choices. For Fall, I enjoyed making a soup of root vegetables, including pumpkin, taro root, and lotus root. For me, I love it because you can eat a healthy selection and still feel full. Dessert is included - they even have ice cream!

The Tom Yum and Mala broths were packed full of flavor. Great atmosphere with a really cool rotating belt of side dishes. I especially enJOYed the Napa cabbage and sliced lotus roots. The self-serve section had giant prawns and well-marbled thinly sliced beef. We did the combo of hotpot and bbq for only 5 extra. Wonderful service - all the waiters were attentive and helpful. Had a great convo with the owner, who makes the kimchi herself. Highly recommend!
